The Program:
The French Embassy in the United States and its partners developed a a life-changing experience through a professional study abroad program in France. You will enhance your knowledge of future technologies to preserve the environment! This is a non-Kirkwood faculty-led program. You and other community college students from the United States will travel to Paris to complete a combination of science and cultural activities. 

The Country:
France is one of the lowest greenhouse gas emitters among industrialized nations, You will reside in Paris; the capital and largest city in France. The city hosted the UN climate change conference in 2015.

• Eau de Paris, environmental management practices for water distribution
• EVESA, public lighting of Paris management
• A swimming pool heated by datacenters
• Start-up Pivert, Biogis center (Compiègne), biomass conversion
• Pavillon de Manse (Chantilly), historical, scientific, technical and environmental
• Conference: overview of renewable energies or will the Cleantech save the planet?
• Musée des arts et métiers, museum of technological innovation
