STUDY ABROAD SHADOW AND GEN LEADER APPLICATIONS FOR 2019 PROGRAMS ARE DUE BY SEPTEMBER 24
There are many ways for full-time faculty and staff to be involved in International Programs at Kirkwood. Two opportunities for participation are available now with a deadline of September 24:
GEN Leader: a Study Abroad leader opportunity to teach the GLS-120 Education Experience Abroad course to a diverse group of students studying abroad at one of Kirkwood’s GEN (Global Education Network) partners.
Study Abroad Shadow: is a full-time faculty or staff that accompanies a faculty leader and group of Kirkwood students studying abroad. The purpose of the Study Abroad Shadow is to serve as a second Kirkwood employee for risk management purposes and to experience a global learning opportunity for future involvement.
Detailed job descriptions and eligibility requirements for both roles are found on the application forms found in KINàEmployee Forms PlusàG or S (and linked above). We hope this process will encourage more Kirkwood faculty/staff to get involved in International Programs. If you have any questions, email Dawn Wood or call ext. 5443. Study Abroad Shadow and GEN Leader applications are due by September 24.
